Night - Kyra - 15.6.2022
Our English class is studying the memoir Night, by Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel. I worked in a group with Harriet, Olivia and Lee to create an Empathy Map for Elie at this age.
This is our beautiful empathy map :)
This is my paragraph I wrote about Elie and all the stuff I know about him at the age of 12.
At the start of the book, Elie was living in sighet, transylvania. He was only 12 years old. Elie lived with his mother, father and his three sisters. He is the 3rd eldest child and the only boy, with two older sisters and one younger sister. Hilda the eldest, then Bea and the youngest or the four is Tzipora. His dad was a very cultured man, rather unsentimental. His father was held in highest esteem. Elie's father rarely showed his feelings to anyone, not even his family. He always puts other people's needs before his own. Elie was very observant for his age, he would go to the synagogue to pray and weep. He was a happy young boy living a fun life.
